The Heliex System is used in district heating schemes across Europe
The Heliex GenSet has been incorporated into district heating schemes across the UK, Italy and Austria to help communities and project developers cut energy costs and boost sustainability.
Producing residual heat at the perfect temperature for heating, the the Heliex system is a natural choice for biomass CHP systems, particularly as it responds well to fluctuating steam flows, typical of the varying seasonal heat demands in a district heating system.
When integrated with a steam raising biomass boiler, the Heliex GenSet generates a low-cost supply of electricity on top of the heat produced by the boiler. This electricity can be used on the site, for example in the boiler room, or it can be sold back to the grid.
